Painting on fabric...that is what we tried for the first time yesterday. I have to say I think we learned a lot...Jeanette is more talented than she thinks, Judy is just a natural and me...well, I must admit I plan on sticking to free motion quilting for my projects. All of our styles were as different as we are. Geometric seemed easier than a free style painting, atleast to me. Stamps are fun to make, paints are pretty easy to mix to get the color you are wanting. Paint brushes are just fun to own in all their different sizes and design. LOL

After a couple hours we took time for lunch and a glass of wine, a tour of my gardens and visiting. Back to work on the second painting/design and then time to let them dry so we could take pictures. What a wonderful day! The weather was beautiful, the company...the best, life is good.

Have you tried to paint on fabric? What type of paint did you use? Did you heat set it, if so, how? Would you do it again? Let me know what your experiences were, I'd love to hear about them.

Now when I get the nerve up I just might try to free motion quilt, bead and embellish these, especially the "Blazing Onions" in my left side.

Hugs, Marsha

Yeara ago me and some friend painted on fabric. It was fun but we only got one yard done, each.
