A Couple of Quilt Tops

This blog has been so terribly neglected. Life has been so busy and productive in many ways. The weather is finally Springy and the gardens are coming to life. I love this time of year even though there is soooo much work to do outside. The other thing that has kept me busy is...I am getting married in June. Wish I could just blink and everything would be planned and ready to go! Plus, we adopted an 8 month old Boxer Female named Kenna. She is just wonderful but again takes up a lot of time. It is important to play a lot with them which also helps train them. She is coming along nicely. Pictures next time.
Anyway, back to quilts...

This one comes from the book Color shuffle, new quilts from Karla Alexander...it is titled Critical Mass. I love the colors and think it will be fun to quilt....but first is the basting.....

The next one I have started is Blue Moon. I love the design. I am still putting the blocks together. They have not been sewn into a quilt top yet.

This is the Drunkard's Path that I started early last fall. If you look back through my blog you will find pictures of the blocks I started with. Blue was the primary color I was wanting however it was looking so bland that I just started putting colors together. This is what I came up with...

I love the colors and am really looking forward quilting this. Basting it is another thing, not my favorite thing to do. Does anyone else feel this way about basting? Uck!

Facebook has taken over a lot of my time too. How did I let that happen??? So I deleted my aquariums and am concentrating on the gardens again and quilting...and the wedding.

Hope your flowers are blooming beautifully and life is good for you all...

Marsha

I love the colors in each quilt. Hadn't heard of the first design but I really like it.
Take care.
