Sailboat Quilt

Here is the Sailboat Quilt I have been working on for The Quilt Shoppe. I was not so sure about it when I was piecing the blocks and appliqueing the boats on but when I added the sashing it all came together. This is such a cute pattern although I did change the applique to fusible applique. Much easier for me.

The name of the pattern is Ocean View and came from The Pattern Basket, Margot Languedoc Designs. I love it.

I am also putting the blocks together with the sashing to my Drunkards Path. As soon as I get the top together I will post a picture. I'll just say it sure doesn't look like it did last time I posted a picture.

We had a nice weekend with the weather warming up in the mid-high 40's and a lot of the snow melted off. Temps. dipped again today with brief snow showers and no accumulation. Tomorrow is suppose to be different, more snow, acculable amounts. I saw a Blue Bird checking out the bird houses today, it is the second time he has been here in the last 2 weeks. I really hope he builds a nest here, I love to watch them feed their young. It is a bit early to start watching for them but rushing spring is always one of my specialties. :-)

Have a great week!

The quilt looks great. The sashing was the key to making the whole thing come together....did that make sense??? LOL

Hi Rhonda, Yes, that is exactly what I thought too. It is too cute. Maybe I should make another one and keep it handy as a gift.
