Sew Much Happening...

This is one of the finished quilt tops from our group. Brenda really matched up some wonderful colors and I love her sashing, the little corner stones colors run in a diagonal pattern. Neat!

Jeanette has also finished her top but I did not have my camera when I saw it.....keep tuned, I will post it soon.

I have 4 more blocks to make a king size so I am still working on it. Here is a peak...

I have 4 more blocks to make and was going for a predominantly blue however I can see where I would like to rearrange some of the blocks. Always more to do...now what color sashing?

OK, I often post about the creatures who visit my gardens and here is one I
really liked.

This beetle was not real happy with me for messing with her. I carried her in the house so I could get my camera and then back out for several poses. Gee....such an attitude! Beautiful, isn't she? I took a picture of her on my hand so you would get an idea of how large she really is.

I am really enjoying working at my LQS. We are always getting in new fabric and Jean has ordered more Batiks. I just can't wait to get them!!! Classes are starting up too.

Hope you are all having wonderful weather like us.

Peace,

Marsha

OH my gosh, you are much braver than I will ever be picking up that beetle. It looks like it could bite you real hard. The quilts are beautiful....the beetle, hmmm, beautiful is not a word that comes to mind when I see him.

Dear Marsha , never would you catch me with a beetle of any size no matter how interesting they are, on my hand. Still loving your quilts.

What a great bug! Those jaws look quite menacing - I don't know if I would have picked it up.

I am so "driven" to pick up and inspect insects I just can't help it. I want to see them up close. Sometimes, but not very often, I do get a hold of one with an attitude but so far I haven't hurt any of them. ;-). That was the first time I have seen a beetle with Madibles (jaws) that large. Too cool. I would love to see more like him and bigger than him.
